Nainital does not have direct air connectivity. Indira Gandhi International Airport, Delhi is the nearest  airport to Nainital. Traveller  can board a flight till Delhi if they are travelling to Nainital. Traveller can even hire taxi from Delhi and  reach Nainital.

 Road-way to reach nainitaal

Nainital has many road connectivity from many cities and small cities of north India. Daily bus and taxis service are available from Delhi to reach nainitaal.

Rail-way to reach nainitaal

Kathgodham Railway Station which is 34 kms away from  nearest rail to Nainital. Plenty of trains connect from Nainital to Delhi and Dehradun are available. Passengers  from  Lucknow, Agra, Kolkata and Mathura or any other cities can  take a train till Kathgodam and then can hire cab or taxi for Nainital.

1. Naini Lake/Mango Lake :

This temple is one of the most famous and well know place worshiped by hindus from all over the country their come in large number to seek blessing of Maa Naina Devi and it is said Maa Nainadevi fulfilled all our wish.This temple is dedicated to Devi Sati's eyes

The best time to visit the Naina Devi Temple is during the Navratri in September to October, Shravani Mela in July to August and Chaitra Mela in March to April.

The most easy way to reach there is by elevated  vehicle. The charges for a single ropeway ticket to the Snow View Point  is 80 rupees for adults and 40 rupees for teenargers, and also, for a two-way ticket, is 150 rupees  for adults and 75 rupees for kids.

By Road – Bhimtal is 20kms awayfrom Nainital . Travelers can  reach Bhimtal by  taxi from Nainital or Kathgodam. and even visit with their private car or cab.

2. Naukuchiatal


Naukuchiatalhe, is and very peaceful place with  beautiful  view and  Good weather.Can be visited any time throughtout the year. Naukuchiatalhe  is famous for  Boating, Paragliding and Fishing.
